I took this photograph in Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls, while watching elephants drinking at a waterhole.
As I watched the elephants, I suddenly spotted a dung beetle rolling a ball of dung up a slope towards a hole in the ground. My attention shifted to this small but fascinating moment happening nearby, and I captured the scene.
It was an unexpected encounter that reminded me how much there is to discover in the natural world, even when you're looking at something entirely different.
